Pre-Departure information

So world, there is probably a handful of things you would like to know before I go to Cape Town.

1. How long?
Answer: Jan. 26-June 12
2. Where?
Answer: The University of Cape Town, and where I'll be staying
3. How to get in touch with me?
Answer: skype-karlenp, facebook, email-karlen.paxton@gmail.com
We are mildly unsure as to the internet abundance there, so skype dates will have to be scheduled through email or facebook.
4. Time difference?
Answer: Right now it's an 8-hour difference, but when you guys "spring forward" we won't so it'll be a 7-hour difference.


that's the important info. other than that, don't txt me because my phone won't be traveling with me and if it does, it's extremely expensive. i'll have a cell phone for while i'm there, but that means you guys here in the U.S. won't be able to call me on it. 


hopefully i'll be able to keep the blog up-to-date with information on what i'm doing, pictures and things like that! also since i'm doing a third year writing abroad online class i'll have required posts for that which i will probably just copy onto here if they're interesting enough.


please keep me updated on your lives while i'm gone.


i'll try to post again before i go/during the travel because that is never a dull experience.. especially because Eric, Brent and I are traveling together the whole way. so here's to 25+ hours of international travel!
